Re: Night Fighting - Parachute Flares

Given the length of a phase is something like 3-4 seconds even a pistol flare would last longer than that. The main issue with illumination rounds is that they can either burn at variable rates or be taken down or moved to a useless location by wind & weather in an unpredictable manner. I think the ...

Re: Belgium Armoured vehicles & equipment 1940

I was going to use a dark brownish green similar to the one I would use on British armour of 1940 as the base colour.

Re: How big is Crisis?

The problem with convention centres in the UK is that they will want to charge commercial rates & that would require wargamers to cough up commercial rates which is more money than most of them are prepared to do so. As for Essen is up with the huge US conventions & as far as board gaming goes even ...

Re: Night Fighting - Parachute Flares

The illumination radius seems to be too small a parachute flare would light up pretty much all of a CoC battle field to some degree & even a flare pistol will give a good light over a considerable area, from experience & on this ground scale 20-30". The problem with all of them is that once they bur...

Re: A pretty basic question...

My method is to keep the group size consistent I find eight to ten is may favourite but vary the number of levels of Command initiative. The number of big men used remains fairly constant at one per two groups. I find there is quite a difference between a formation with 11 total command initiative a...
