Re: Hedges, orchards and los.

Not all the hedgerows in Normandy were bocage size. The US troops had to deal with the majority of that, but the more easterly troops were in open farmland with smaller hedgerows. As Derek says, its hugely variable. Besides, not all battles were fought in Normandy. So do you play all hedges block LOS...

Re: Hedges, orchards and los.

That'd be a neat idea.

Having been out peering over hedges and the like, I'm thinking about playing it so that units are only classed as in the cover of the hedge if within 4" of it, and can only see through/over it again if within 4". Not sure what to do about intervening hedges beyond the first.

Hedges, orchards and los.

I'm having a bit of trouble deciding what my units can see and what they cant, especially with regard to hedgerows and orchards. Woods, walls and such like I realise blocks line of sight, however how about orchards, given that most seem to have no undergrowth? Can units see through them? Or, can uni...

Re: Panzerfaust?

All clear on the panzerfaust front, thanks. The Tank Killer card says "we can add a Tank Killers card which allows them to take a bonus activation, using their Actions however they like. This will not affect its ability to be activated on its own unit card earlier or later in the turn." So I assume ...

Panzerfaust?

Hmm. I seem to be hogging the board. Sorry. I'm about to play the 3rd scenario and I've got a couple of questions regarding the anti tank rules if I may. The scenario briefing gives each German Gruppe a panzerfaust. Is this a separate manned unit (similar to a mortar team) or is it just considered t...

Re: FOO and Tea Break question.

Thanks John. With regard to the FOO question. I have been assuming the FOO can spot as well, so the number of actions it gets would make a difference. Is this not the case?

Re: Forward Observation Officers

You're right Derek, it does seem to be a set of rules where house rules are required, which I think is great rather than being told "you must do it this way".

Not enough people for an umpire yet.....

FOO and Tea Break question.

Just a couple more quickies that came up during my latest game (played solo until the boy came home from school, took over the Axis forces and whooped my ass - damn those MG nests). As the FOO started the game hidden and is unlikely to be spotted until late in the game due to his position, does he g...

Sounds good. That's how I'll run then.
