Re: Points value of an Ace?

Cerebus, If you are an Ace you are entitled to 5 random cards or 2 of your choice and 1 random, this in itself should give your crew the edge above any other crew. Even if your crew is not yet Ace status but have a few kills under their belt they should have an advantage by having these cards they ...

Re: Points value of an Ace?

You're right, I think I am going to have to do it myself. I thought somebody might have an idea of how much an Ace is worth, but never mind. I will hold everyone responsible when my 11 year old throws a hissy fit as his Kingtiger with Ace crew is minced by whatever tanks I throw on the field as an e...

Re: Points value of an Ace?

Yeah I understand the points values for the tanks Greg, that's not what I'm asking. My question is how many points is an Ace crew worth. A Tiger 1 vs a Tiger 1 is a fair fight, but a Tiger 1 vs a Tiger 1 with an Ace crew will favour the Ace. But by how much? How many points is it worth? What tank be...

Points value of an Ace?

Hi,

The tanker table give points values for each of the AFV's in the game, but how many points should you add if the driver is an Ace? Or indeed for each Tanker Deck card owned?

Re: HE Direct Fire rule contradiction?

Ok, that clears things up. It was the "per dice" that was throwing me. Thanks.

HE Direct Fire rule contradiction?

Quick question regarding HE direct fire. If you perform other actions in the turn you fire you are supposed to reduce the total by -2 per dice for each Action used according to the rules as stated (pg45). However in the example that follows (Pg46), the Sherman moves (using one Action) and then fires...

Re: Hedges, orchards and los.

I've had some Normandy Calvados (home made by a very eccentric local)....OMG! You'd definitely have to remove the unit from the game. Moral would increase though. Back on the hedges. Would those units within 2" get the cover even when being shot at from the flank or behind. Logic says no, but was wo...

Re: Fire from open-topped vehicles

Could you not just have the 251 being used as a mobile MMG nest? Whilst full of troops it can move as normal but troops in it cant fire. It however can fire if stationary (only the MG , not the troops). Once the soldiers have got out then it can carry on the same but the troops are now down by 2 sol...

Re: Hedges, orchards and los.

A "hedge" can be anything from a decorative feature you can step over without breaking stride to an impenetrable obstacle fifty plus feet high. You have to decide what you're dealing with for any given scenario. I have access to three types of hedge model and will sometimes use different rules for ...
