Small CoC in the Desert

This is a post game report from my opponent last night. Great first run of EW 15mm AfriKoK last night vs Pete. We rolled for the mission and it was Delaying Action, Pete chose to defend an open, rolling landscape, scattered here and there with outbreaks of green scrub. Pete and I fielded, respective...

Re: Afghan compound

I just bought some 1/55 scale BTR-80s on the "Bay fairly cheaply, not sure how long they will take to arrive in Oz. Plan to use them with 28mm scale stuff that I had collected for FoF.

Re: Afghan compound

Great looking pieces to add clutter to the village.

We have been discussing the Afghan compound, will there be a need for an ISAF compound as well? I was looking at Slug Industries HESCOs earlier today as I gather a shopping list for our pending trip to the UK post Gallipoli and Waterloo.

Re: Updated LRDG List

Ah, TT, that is another list (and scenario)! Get writing!

I like this new LRDG list but now I have to go and re-organise my LRDG figs. Fortunately, they have not been marked for units/sections as yet.

Re: Updated LRDG List

Sounds like a good option. Choosing to put all your eggs in one basket for one assault group or distributing for multiple assaults.

Re: Updated LRDG List

The Italian Squadra or section is 20 plus the SL he added, TT. I ran the Italian list last week in the attack mode. It is unwieldy and when one Squadra got caught under mortar fire 3 turns (not phases) in the game, it stuffed them. I made the mistake of taking Itie armour instead of an Italian morta...

Re: LRDG?

Keen to see the update. I have base coated 28mm figs to use based on what was probably your list but no further progress. Purely a foot list so far but there is a gun crew who may become vehicle crew at some stage.

Hmmm, perhaps one of Warlords Polish 37mm ATGs to be used with that crew?

Re: Sd Kfz 251 "Stuka zu Fuss"

Given that CoC is a platoon skirmish game, it's only use would be off-board IMHO. Perhaps as an objective but not firing in that case.

Re: CoC Barbarossa Gebirgsjagers

My copy of the Concord publication of Gebirgsjager tells me that they were certainly involved, so I can now feel justified in using them in a Barbarossa force to use against the Red Horde. Fortunately, my Ebay purchase of a company of Gebis arrived today, so I now have 3 platoons of Geb inf, one of ...
