Re: Tactical and pinned

SableFox says: "going tactical" was meant to be a sort of portable soft cover that you can bring with you If it ain't broke, don't fix it I agree, I am always a little reluctant to make a comment about WWII tactics as I am so new to the era, but that statement sums it up for me. I like the TFL rule...

Re: Skirmish Campaigns and Chain of Command

Very nice job Tom, your conversion is getting quite comprehensive. Command Dice are determined by the training of the highest level command group. If no designated senior leader is indicated, then the command dice are set by the majority of the training levels. One thing I have come across in the No...

Re: Trial virtual game

Sounds good. I should add though and I know this sounds gamey, but the LMG on the road should be oriented so its LOS allows it to fire south as well as east, ie a slight turn to 45 degrees.

Re: Trial virtual game

I thought I was getting the movement/terrain rules down, but of course if you have only 1 D6 to move you can not drop one! So I will be even more foolhardy and use normal movement and push the whole squad against the hedge on the eastern side of the road, while at the same time moving diagonally sou...

Re: Trial virtual game

Time to hear some gunfire. The SL uses the 4, and moves south to get within command range of the middle squad, but staying in cover. He stays within command range of the Psck team. He use his 2nd CI to get the same squad to hop the wall, the rifle team move to the eastern edge of the road but not ag...

Re: Trial virtual game

And yes, as far as I understand there is nothing to stop a SL commanding one squad/team to move at the double and then give commands to a different team/squad. But the team/squad that moved cannot act again (other than non-activation commands like rally or throw grenades) Sorry,I believe you misund...

Re: Skirmish Campaigns and Chain of Command

Thanks Tom, sometimes the nomenclature of WWII is a bit unclear to me, but I am rapidly learning. So I am presuming about the mines that you can place them edge to edge to get 2x3. I will have a look at the IABSM rulebook. So are you still planning to play the first scenario this Saturday Nov 16th a...

Re: Trial virtual game

Wow a real cat and mouse game. I have to go to work shortly so I do not want to give a hurried response. A couple of questions of clarification. I presume only the 3 riflemen south of the hedge of the southern squad can fire at the US and the US is in soft cover. From your arrow from the middle Germ...
