Re: The Abyssinian Crisis - 1939: Italians vs Franco-Abysinn

I'm interested in the armored cars used in French North Africa. Have you worked them up for the Consolidated Arsenal?

Re: MGs in Platoons

Somewhere I read (I apologize for the poor memory) that FJ's preferred the MG34 because it was less hungry for ammunition. However I'd be surprised if the FJ's at Cassino had supply problems.

Re: early war french dragons portes - building the unit

Thanks for clarifying the terms, especially 'brigadier'. The brigadiers would be considered as troopers armed with rifles or carbines? Each 'escouade' would contain an FM24/29 with 3 crew plus the trooper? Or should the FM have 2 crew and be accompanied by 2 troopers? I like the latter because it li...

Re: early war french dragons portes - building the unit

I used Niehorster's description of the French cavalry regiment at: http://enpointe.perso.infonie.fr/dlc.html I looked at the material I found at the link you posted at the start of this thread, specifically at the 2nd Squadron of Motorcyclists. The basic building block of the platoon is the "escouad...

Re: early war french dragons portes - building the unit

Here are a couple more thoughts for the Support Lists. The 3rd RCA had Panhard 165/175 armored cars as well as Schneider P16's. There were some 65mm mountain guns in service (probably with the 67th Regiment of African Artillery. The 601st and 701st (American( Tank Destroyer battalions spent some tim...

Re: Question on HH AT Weapons and Tank Hunter teams

I have a vague recollection that U.S. paratroopers had gammon grenades-maybe I'm recalling *Those Devils in Baggy Pants*. The OSS also used them. Maquis ambush in CoC?

Re: ELITES - A CAUTIONARY TALE

I've been following this thread with interest because I'm painting a force of fallschirmjagers. So I'm curious, where can I find a writeup on "Superior Regulars"? TIA

Re: U.S. Army T19 Self-propelled

Neal, Thank you for adding it and generally for your work maintaining the Arsenal.
There was an incident on Sicily when some T19's engaged some German tanks. I guess it's OK to bring one as a support option. Take care
