Re: Japanese Army List for the time past 1942

When I was looking into at the 41st Infantry Division, I got curious about the opposition. So I found :thehttp://toofatlardies.co.uk/blog/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/Japanese-List-1941-2.pdf

Hope this helps/

Re: WORLD WAR 2 ANTI-TANK RIFLES

Here's a minor point of curiosity. In the Blitzkrieg book, only the SS and the fallschirmjaegers can pick an anti-tank rifle as a support option. The Wehrmacht is out of luck. But what of IR Gross Deutschland? Did they rate ATR's? TIA

37mm canister

I was reminded of this little joy while looking into the Papua campaign over the weekend. According to the Army's Official History, "the 37-mm. antitank gun with canister was an excellent antipersonnel weapon". And it was used to good effect by the Marines on Guadalcanal. Was it used in other theatr...

Re: US Army in the Pacific

Looking into the activities of the 41st Infantry Division over Memorial Day weekend suggested several ideas/questions mainyl based on the New Guinea campaign. It looks like the main part of the rifle platoon in use on New Guinea was identical to the organization in the rule book. Differences would b...

Re: More Rivers To Cross PSC

I wonder (and it's just that) how long it takes for the follow-on force to assemble, get moving and cross table #1. Half an hour? An hour? Granted the retreating defender would need some time to re-organize. So it makes sense that both sides use what they have at the end of the 1st game. The other d...

Re: More Rivers To Cross PSC

It's in the Lard Magaziine 2018 available at the Lardies store. I had ignored it because for some reason I'd thought it to be about the BEF (I'm a Francophile). Here's where it gets good. My grandson has just started making noises about doing a little gaming this summer. How about matching fallschir...

Re: The VB Junior Leader In the Gembloux PSC

The TO&E for the infantry battalion at this location http://enpointe.perso.infonie.fr/di.html
shows 1 grenade launcher per section and one further one at platoon HQ. That's 4 VB's per platoon. So I'm going to assume an oversight.

Re: The VB Junior Leader In the Gembloux PSC

For the French, the Replacements and Reinforcements section specifies the men's opinion as +1. In the campaign briefing it is given as 0. Which is correct? As a Francophile I'd prefer +1 especially as the 1st DIM was one of the better divisions. But I'm open to opinions.

The VB Junior Leader In the Gembloux PSC

In the 1940 Blitzkrieg supplement, the VB-Grenadier Junior Leader is listed as having his own grenade launcher. But the VB Junior Leader has no weapon listed. Can I assume that this is an oversight? TIA

With their black leather jackets and motorcycle boots. Or am I too old. (I'm a Francophile so am not interested in Belgian issues).
