Chain of Command AAR - Western Front 1944

Hi, I just posted an AAR on our blog. Its a German Panzergrenadier platoon trying to wrestle a vital crossroad from a US Rifle platoon in the late summer of 1944. The Germans were doing great until they run into an 81mm mortar barrage called in by the American Forward Observer... You can read and se...

Re: FISTICUFFS CAVALRY

I agree in that scale/ratio might matter. But the way I see it a square formation in the rules is really a rally clump "IRL" as long as you play with a close to 1:1 ratio. So for me groups formning a "square" (as by the rules, with its pros and cons) is really forming more of a rally clump i e a clo...

Re: FISTICUFFS CAVALRY

We might ofcourse have missunderstand some rule but we have tested an additional Cavalry Shock house rule, that all cavalry unit was able to use. Cavalry Shock: Cavalry a...

Re: tokens/markers for CoC?

We use generic markers that I made awhile back. For us it is important that they dont "disturb" the visuals of the game. Our markers are simple and semi-scenic, rocks and flowers mostly. :-) The obvious ones for CoC are overwatch and tactical that took their shape from the "official" Lardies tokens....

Re: Activation of US Armored Rifles?

Thank you all for your input and interesting to see that it's been discussed before. Morgan, those are my questions exactly. I think all agree on that the US AI rifles activates on '2' as any other squad/section (and 3 or 4's through leaders). The key is if the same men ALSO can activate on a '1' as...

Activation of US Armored Rifles?

Hi, Looking at the US Armored Rifle list in the CoC book its rifle units are listed as follows Squad one and two Sergeant Rifle TEAM Ten rifle men One smg (Option to form a bazooka team not used here) Its a squad of only one team (not counting the leader). What does this imply when it comes to activ...

Great report! I've been a fan of your tables for a long time. They always look very "natural" and convincing. Thanks for posting. /Mattias
