The Desert campaigns particularly suit 10mm figures and vehicles such as those from Pendraken. It's also closer to the true groundscale for IABSM so the sense of distances and the reality of the ranges used is more apparent. Might be worth considering if you are planning to change scale. From my reading, the Soviet squad would be more accurately described as a "zero-team" squad. The FAQ section quoted above specifically refers to "Squads without Sub‐Teams" and not "Squads with 1 Team" so might not apply to the US Armored Rifle Platoon.
