I can see what the CarcosanDawn is asking, but have to agree with some of the points raised above.
But, if you’re wanting to represent the HTs etc. of the platoon then as a suggestion why not use the HTs as your JoPs on the table, after all it’s your game.

Page 56 answers your question under Fire by Platoon. It looks like the penalty is subtracted off the dice pool.
