Re: Retreats
Hi SF, Yes you have to drive the pesky buggers off. If you’re the attacker get your infantry pressing forward, with Forward Taskings to get to the enemies main line, and use your Skirmishers on the flanks to keep up the pressure. Cavalry are also useful as these don’t need to charge the Skirmishers ...

Re: Charging thru Skirmishers
Hi Vlad, sure DB will respond himself, but the thing to bear in mind with the wording in GdA2 that we found through playtesting was the removal of unnecessary text. This means that unlike GdA where everything is provided in minute detail the rules are now much clearer and should be read as written. ...

Re: First Game of GDA2
Game looks fab mate, good work. We use the dice frames on small round bases with 7mm dice (coloured for nationality) for our casualty markers. Don’t look too intrusive at 15mm. Have even added the frame to back bases for my ACW units, might be a lot of work for you to do the same on your 6mm without...

Re: Campaigns
As Slynx said it’s more complicated as it depends on the scope/period of your campaign, are you playing over days/weeks/months as all will affect the ability of units to recover over a period of time? I think any unit dispersed should count as lost, as units are seldom dispersed in our games. Any un...

Re: Command Radius in GdA2
Hi Dave,
Thanks for the response. But, it can still go anywhere. Even if it is forced to retreat and is completely isolated and out of command radius it will still rally if its brigade is active, but miles away?

Mixed Brigades and reinforcing
When you choose to activate the infantry units in a mixed brigade any mounted units count as hesitate so cannot advance towards the enemy or declare charges. If you have a cavalry unit that is part of the hesitant element during a turn and that unit is in a position to reinforce another cavalry unit...

Command Radius in GdA2
Other than a brief mention in deployment about units being deployed within 30cm of their Brigadier, and this being the distance for charge initiation/supports/brigadier movement I can’t find anything about the impact of being outside this command radius for any units at any other time. There appears...
