Re: Gaming table size

I am curious as to why people feel using 15mm vs 28mm figures on a 4x6 table gives a more expansive game with more room to maneuver. I guess it isn't so different on reflection. :) I guess it's more to do with the density of terrain. But of course you can have very full 15mm tables and totally open...

PatG wrote:Lightbulb - do you use the same ground scale for 28 and 15?
The 28mm ground scale is 'wrong', it's roughly correct for 15mm (but yes I do).

Barrages are also super powerful!

Re: Pint-Sized campaign model and terrain requirements

Thanks all so far.

I cracked and bought all but KGVL so I'll try and add to the post myself soon, work permitting.

Re: Gaming table size

I've used 4x4 and 3x6 but in 15mm so that's huge compared to 28mm. Thinking of cutting it down to 2x3 next time I play to see what it's like. Could be why I think people move a bit slowly. Hard to defend in probe with such a wide table. Much larger you struggle to reach the middle so might not be pi...

Pint-Sized campaign model and terrain requirements

Has anyone summarised the terrain and model requirements for the various Pint-Sized campaigns? I'm thinking of buying one or two, likely to play through solo as I'm without an opponent at the moment, or maybe to try and get some players on board. I'm aware Kampfgruppe von Luck has some unusual Germa...

Re: Brit Para platoon composition help

I've got the PSC British, and Flames of War German and USA Paratroopers. The issue with PSC is that they are way too many for CoC. Fine for a company plus sized game but there are obviously several of the same pose. They are also quite realistically scaled so look a bit slight next to the FoW stuff....

Re: Would you play with unpainted figs?

I don't let myself play with unpainted miniatures. That way I have some motivation to paint them. Even it's just to a very basic level.

I do find it works but once I have one army done painting a second is less likely. Sadly doesn't stop me buying new projects though. :)

Re: Soviet Machine Gun Platoon

If the Platoon needs fortifications to work then I suggest giving them as part of the force. They will effectively be 'half price' this way due to how the system works. This will allow them some more points to actually get some support. Doesn't work if they are attacking but would such a force attac...
