Re: Non-Normandy Campaign Questions

FWIW I wanted to "roll my own" Italian Campaign. Lots of great reasons this is an interesting theatre imo. Big one for me is the role of Canadians and a great experience we had staging an Ortona battle using Bolt Action rules (before I discovered my love of CoC). To get going on that we played a few...

Re: Couple of clarifications re: deployment & JOPs in buildi

Yeah we will rethink the JOP in buildings and clarify ahead of time what constitutes shutting it down. I didn't actually use the JOP while there were troops in the building, we just debated it and I found another means of deploying. The deploy behind the enemy is very silly and would likely inevitab...

Re: Withdrawal during a campaign - Broken Units

Yeah, I can see where a situation arises that the game ends without a turn end to have broken units removed from the table. I think we have interpreted it that they cannot move during the game, but I am not sure if they should also get the -1 to hit. So I guess one question becomes are broken troops...

Re: Withdrawal during a campaign - Broken Units

This one? http://toofatlardies.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=1130&p=17020#p9107 The rationale in that thread makes a lot of sense imo. Fundamentally the interpretation that a broken unit does not *include* being pinned is valid. They are broken, not pinned and broken. If they were pinned they co...

Re: Leader under fire

Yep, one for each "kill" and then apply the worst result on the Bad Stuff table. So if there were 2 bad things happen rolls for a single "phase" of wounds to a leader, you roll all of them but only apply the single worst result? That makes sense, but I think we might have been rolling for all of th...

Re: Measuring Line of Sight method

Same thing as Rich, but we will use lasers just because we are nerds. If we are truly stuck on an aspect we will D6 a 50/50 roll for either option we are stuck on.

Couple of clarifications re: deployment & JOPs in buildings

Hey Folks, Deployment When a unit deploys, there are circumstances where they can deploy *behind* an attacker. For example a German unit is 5" away from a JOP, so it is still active. They have advanced from the West. A Brit Airborne unit has a 9" deployment range and deploys behind the German unit t...

Re: Withdrawal during a campaign - Broken Units

When this situation came up for us, effectively it was moot because at the end of the turn, the broken units are removed from the table. As a result they do not get measured for distance to a friendly JoP. We regarded then as not being casualties, as they had "bugged out" and lived to fight in the n...

Re: CoCpaign KG von Luck Scenario 3, Campaign Turn 5 AAR

A mate of mine makes them. They are excellent as they are flexible rubber material. They can be cut to size and bend to terrain contours. I've not finished detailing mine, will get to that one day :)

If you are interested in some send me a PM and I can connect you with him.

Cheers,
