Re: Game Scale - What type of battle does Sharp Practice represent?

Any examples of historical battles (or movie scenes) that could be refought with these rules? Do you normally play small parts of bigger battles or more cinematic scenarios? I play both, historical as well as fictional scenarios - some more cinematic than others... One example for a historical acti...

So you can see the image on page 42 of the rulebook?

Re: Surrendering

Thanks, those are all good ideas! I forgot that Dawns & Departures has rules for surrendering, of course I've got the book :-)
Prisoner exchange is an interesting idea and would perhaps add to the narrative (and decisions) of a campaign. Breaking out prisoners would of course also be a cool scenario.

Surrendering

Does anyone play with groups surrendering? We recently had a situation in our game when, in fisticuffs, one group had more than 4 times the dice than the other. I dimly remembered that, in the first edition of SP, there was a rule that made groups surrender when the odds were that bad. Having looked...

Re: Coastal Patrol...

Thanks Archdudek, much appreciated! I was looking at the 1/1200 boats Magister Militium offer, but they might be a tad too small...

Re: Coastal Patrol...

I'd really like to try Coastal Patrol, somehow I got myself interested in the period. Are there any EU/UK distributors or producers of boats in 1/600 or whereabouts? P&p from the US is crazy at the moment...
The Warlord boats look nice, but the traffic jam looks ridiculous...

Re: Lardies at CRISIS?

Let's have a quick meet-up somewhere - shake hands, exchange ideas and a quick chat before we head back into the gaming & shopping madness!

Do you have a preferred time? And a place? Morgan, I guess in front of the Crooked Dice stand would block customers, but perhaps somewhere near?

Lardies at CRISIS?

Hi, will there be any Lardies at CRISIS? After an involuntary 2-years break, I'll be heading there again this year and it would be nice to link up with some fellow Lardy fans. What do you think? I guess Rich will present a game, does anyone know which one he will take? I'd really like to take part i...
