Re: Using command dice in any order?

Another thing to remember is moving loses your aim and some people what to fire move and fire again but don't realize they need to aim once again. Another easy one to miss is that you also lose your aim if the target moves. Most commonly this occurs when someone is a bit excited because they can ge...

Re: How do you indicate special individual weapons?

You can also do things with how you decorate the base. Adding things like rocks, flowers or bushes are a nice way of indicating special figures and having a bit of variety in your bases.

Re: M10 Tank Destroyer and Ramming

M10 being "fast" is the same as the Jagdpanzer 38T being "fast". Nick did it not because the vehicle actually was fast (they weren't) but because he wanted players to be able to use hit-and-run tactics. I see his point, but I don't think the rule really encourages that. If you give a wargamer a vehi...

Re: Crew Quality

There's already a mechanism in the game to reflect crew experience and quality: it's your tanker cards. A completely green crew has no cards, as they increase in experience they get more cards, all the way up to ace status where they've got five cards and can adjust one command dice. If you want to ...

Re: Koenigsberg 1945 psc question

Nah, Soviet guns have 5 crew and a JL the same as everybody else. Omitting mention of crew and/or JL is just a typo. They're listed as normal in other PSCs such as Kursk.

would not the crew not be able to find the shells and the loading breech?
They'd be fine. If they can handle the gun at night, they can do it in smoke. They're all within arm's reach of each other and they'd be able to see that far at least.

Re: How do you indicate special individual weapons?

In 28mm you can just use WYSISWG, I have been known to put a rock on the base of LMGs to make them more obvious. It's not normally an issue for SMGs as they tend to get carrried either by leaders or the whole squad has them. The main exception would be British paras or late war German squads that ha...

Can I activate the section (because a 3 means I can activate the Jnr Leader & the SECTION)
Strictly speaking a 3 means you activate just the Junior Leader. The JL can then use his initiatives to activate the section. The only command dice that activates a section directly is a 2.

Re: CoC support list

The chance of an officer kill with a sniper is 2/3 x 1/3 x 1/6 x 1/6 = 0.6% So if I had a sniper that needed 162 shots to kill an officer I would send him back to sniper school  So you can see why I was dancing around the table when my Soviet lady sniper dropped a squad leader with the first s...

Re: CoC support list

I agree that when you look at how effective they actually are in terms of kills, snipers are pretty bad. That's why I've always said they should be dropped at least one list down. The Soviet list that has them at List 2 makes them a more interesting and attractive option. However, just looking at ra...
