Re: British Para Squad

I’d suggest playing as three teams within the squad: Rifles, Bren and Mortar. The JL has the ‘superior’ rule so can sometimes have 3 CI which will help keep the chaps moving.

Re: Solo gaming and the patrol phase

I’ve been enjoying some remote games with good friend George2591 and he asks me to give a general indication of where I’d like my JOPs to be. He then plays the Patrol Phase solo but bearing in mind my “instructions”. Seems to work well.
EDIT: he also gets me to choose the supports for one side

Re: Share your favourite house rules

Troops can withdraw (generally away from the enemy) without move penalty for shock. I think we got this from SP2?
Dropping a dice (or die if you prefer ;) ) for multiple phases, plus a unit can only fire once during a series of such phases.

Re: How many of my squad can fire, or how many figs per cm of front?

Everybody plays the "who can shoot" thing a bit differently and so much depends on the scale and basing. I thinka good rule of thumb is that guys in contact with the front rank can muck in, but not anybody in a mob further back or other stragglers who can't satisfy the 2" rule. This is basically wh...

Patrol Phase and AFV questions

A recent game brought up a couple of questions. 1. In the patrol phase we had one British patrol marker that was equidistant to three German markers, so when placing the British JOP we agreed that the two outer German markers should be used thus giving the widest “triangle”. Wondering what others do...

Broken Units Question

If a unit that has broken and run the required 6+2D6” and rolled for BTH, is subsequently shot at (having not rallied any shock off yet) and gains another point of shock, does it break and run another 6+2D6” and trigger another BTH roll?

Re: Setting up a table for Chain of Command

Welcome to the forum :)
I suggest having a look at one or two of the pint sized campaign booklets available from the Lardy website. Packed with heaps of interesting material plus a number of battlefield layouts. Well worth the very reasonable costs.

Re: Medic question

Hmmm... I took a medic along with my DAK in a recent game and not one of my leaders got hit. So maybe they do kinda help? ;)

Re: Medic question

Thanks chaps. I like the “house rule” suggestion by munin. Keeps it all above board.
