Re: Civil War!

You're right. The main interest for me is painting the Roman figures, I'm not so interested in painting the barbarians...

Re: Civil War!

Hi John,

Thank you, that is good news (he types, whilst simultaneously opening both the Victrix and Osprey websites...)

Cheers!

Civil War!

Hi everyone,

I've bought a copy of the rules, although I'm new to any kind of ancients wargaming. I'm really interested in doing Romans vs Romans, the greatest hometown derby in history. What is the feeling, will Infamy support a civil war scenario?

Random Force Selection

Hi All,

Another question:

Does everyone use the rules for force selection or are there alternatives? I'm trying to come up with a method of random force generation for solo or pickup games.

Can anyone help?

Cheers

Re: French or Americans (or Russkies...)

Thank you all. It might be Soviets, then.

The Caucasus would be an interesting campaign - Panzer IIIs against Lend-Lease M3s. It would give me an excuse to do a platoon of Gebirgsjager too...

French or Americans (or Russkies...)

Hi All, I'd like to ask for some advice. Up until now, I have been playing British and German in France 1940. I want to build a new army, and I'd like to try something that will give me a new tactical challenge. For logistical reasons, I am going to stick with the Germans - they are early war, but w...

Under Command vs Attached

Hi All, This may be very obvious, but I was hoping someone with some real world experience might be able to clarify. I have been looking into CoC for the Cold War. I came across an interview with a Platoon Subaltern who referred to having a Milan team "under command". I'm guessing that this means he...

Re: 25 Pounders in Chain of Command

That's good info. Hadn't considered a Bofors, but might invest in one.

For the 18/25 pounder I had assumed they would be firing standard HE, on the basis that against the early Panzers up to (and maybe including) the early Panzer IVs, a 25 pounder shell would pretty much do the job.
