WW2 Eastern Front Farmhouses and Town Houses

I am hoping you can suggest blogs/websites where I can see examples of Eastern Front style buildings that would have existed during WW2, particularly ones that explain how they painted and/or enhanced the standard building.

Thanks

Re: The rules book army lists.

They do not take too long to type up - I did all of them on MS Word in a couple of hours and "enhanced" them by adding the weapon stats relevant for each platoon and their characteristics - this way all of the information is on one page and reduces the time spent looking for them in the book.

Recommended Reading for the Eastern Front with CoC in mind

I can find lots of books about first-hand accounts of skirmishes and events on the Western Front, that give me ideas to do British/American vs German infantry platoon-level scenarios and campaigns, but I am struggling to find the equivalent for Russian vs German that are not super-sized tank heavy b...

Thanks again both for the what a Commissar can do, and for the miniature company link.

Russian Support List - Commissars

What are the rules for Commissars in CoC......I couldn't find any reference to how you use one if you take it as a support option. From a figure perspective, does anyone have a recommendation as to what figure manufacture produces a Commissar style figure for 20mm/1:72 range? And as a final general ...

Re: Close Combat questions

Thanks for your response John. I think we did make the right call on the Overwatch LMG being fired as about six of the eight rifleman came out from the bocage in a line in front of the LMG, with the other two directly to the side of the LMG team. I think you are right about making it squad vs squad,...

Close Combat questions

Last night, we had our first go at CoC, me with German Infantry, and my friend with US infantry - no supports, and we put the national characteristics to one side, just whilst we were getting to grips with basics. Anyhow, the question I have (and it might be in the rulebook but was missed by us) rel...

Re: Barbed wire and minefields for CoC

They look great Derek. Went to your blog and then to the blog where you got the inspiration from but I couldn't find any reference to what the materials you used for the wooden posts and barbed wire.

Re: Russian Cossacks

Thanks Richard, I will take a look at the Xmas 2013 Special, as although I bought and downloaded, I have yet to properly read it. Most likely I am going to want it around the mid-war period but if you have a late or early war version, I will gladly take it and use it. Mike now also known as Mark.....

Russian Cossacks

As a new convert to CoC (bought it at Salute) and wanting to play as the Russians, I am curious if you can use Cossacks as I have some painted already. Not too worried if I cannot as I am getting my infantry ready for painting, just as soon as I buy some more after Easter - the ones I had contain to...
