Re: Britcon 2024

If I understand correctly, I don't need a ticket to attend if I'm not participating in a game and just want to have a wander and a look-see? Correct. Entry to the Britcon show is free and gets you access access to the traders and demo's plus the ability to wander around the Lard Workshop to view th...

Re: Finished reading the rules. Bravo!

I'm sure when I watched Napoleon at the cinema in January, that I saw Wellington turn to Uxbridge and utter those famous words "how many points are we playing today? Looks like Napoleon is cheating - the bounder". Of course I wasn't at Waterloo so it may not have happened - I don't know! :...

No - Warbases are MDF not 3D printing. The rumour is they will be full colour when produced (similar to the new O Group markers).

Re: Loss of support options in campaign

In CoC, don’t think of the “sniper” as a specialist trained sniper, rather he is the best shot in the platoon. If he killed or absent, then think of the Lieutenant picking on the next best shot and saying “Jones, you’re the platoon sniper now, so get up that steeple and shoot the officers!”. Just re...

Re: Multi player game thoughts

In my newly delivered GDA2 rule book there is a chapter on how to run multiplayer Corps size games with one player per Division and an overall C-in-C.

Re: Ambush with CoC dice

No. Two reasons. Firstly as an ambush, they are considered to have been “lying in wait” and secondly, in common with deployment, ambush isn’t consider3d movement.

Re: Deploying Armoured Platoons in Big CoC

Hi everyone. Referencing section 4.3 in the rules about deploying onto the table, does the situaion mentioned in the second paragraph apply to armoured platoons? In other words if the AFV commanded by the SL deploys first do the other AFV's commanded by JL's have to dice when attempting to deploy t...

Re: Soon™

James Morris, the rules author, is running games of Midguard at Lard Workshop in Nottingham on August 10th. The plan is that the rules will be out well before then!
