Re: Barnsley Wargamers hybrid game

I helped run the Moerdijk game with Rich. The scenario was set at the start of the German assault in the west taking place on 10th May 1940. If follows a standard Fallschirmjager platoon of the 2nd Battalion of the 1st Parachute after they had dropped behind Dutch lines to capture the bridge at Moer...

Re: More Sniper Questions

At the club earlier, I asked Rich his views on snipers shooting at the crew in Lorraine Schleper and SPG’s in general and his answer was an emphatic NO! Only allowed where the crew is obviously in line of sight such as MG gunners in Half tracks and for SPG’s this is a no go. Hope this helps and as e...

Re: Placing jump patrol marker near the edge

In the absence of cover or if the Patrol Marker is too close to the edge to go 6" back, then the JoP can always be placed on the board edge. This is often a good option to get a JoP up the enemies flank.

Re: Gembloux Gap campaign

Great report Mark. It really is a tough ask for the Germans in the first game as the village is a great defensive position and there is a lot of open ground to cover especially with no armour. We tried in the absence of Rich to see if we could better than him in the first game - unfortunately the Ge...

Re: Ft17

If your enemy doesn't have any AT capacity (and the Blitzkrieg Germans don't generally get AT rifles), then as the old saying goes - In the Land of the blind, the one-eyed man is King! Useful in early games of the TAMRTC campaign!

Re: Cover Fire

No, only -1. However as a full section they can cover 9” not 4”.

In your instance you would be better off with the Bar team using covering fire and the rifle team to do Marching fire for effect!

Re: Anomalies when apportioning casualties to LMGs and Leaders

Answers:- 1. If two teams are within 4" then they share the HITS. So if there were say 5 hits, then that would be two hits on each team with the odd hit being allocated by the firer if the target was in the open or by the receiver if the target was in cover. Each team then rolls for the effect of th...

Re: A few CoC queries - mostly Early War

If you had 3 tanks as a support option then You could count them as a separate platoon with their own command dice as per Big CoC.

Re: A few CoC queries - mostly Early War

My take:- 1. At the end of the phase as that is the end of the turn. Ditto for pinned units. 2. No idea! Officially not at the moment -but I would assume so! 3. Yes for Germans no idea for Poles. 4. No the SL cannot activate other tanks without a radio. At the distances involved in CoC they would be...
