Re: Chain of Command FFL Campaign

Very nice looking scenery and game!
I like your wadi "solution". The waterless river sections take up far less space than board elements with real height differences while still looking the part.

Re: Arrival at Kotelnikovo (CoC)

I must say I hadn't checked the point disadvantage. The campaign provides for each scenario the choice between a historically more or less correct fixed support option and selecting support from the lists up to a certain number of points. We went with the historically correct one and randomly decide...

Raid on planet Ledger (CoC, SP)

I wanted to start the new year with something different so we played a commando raid game set in the far future of the Blake's 7 TV series from the past (70's - 80's). A combination of CoC and SP rules were used. I feel SciFi skirmish games should always be about accomplishing a mission or fighting ...

Re: What a Tanker game

I agree re-rolling ties is annoying and you got me thinking about the use of cards. How about using ordinary playing cards, e.g. only spades? Ace always goes first, then King, etc. You may use a saved wild dice to draw an extra initiative card and add the second card to your first card (picture card...

Essential wargame tabletop effects

A bit steep for me but for the wargamer who has some funds available and does not know what to spend it on: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000926682353.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.38c6574a024FgC&algo_pvid=b0e67cab-cb92-47bc-b3b9-775b60759daa&algo_expid=b0e67cab-cb92-47bc-b3b9-775b60759daa-0&bts...

Re: What a Tanker game

Have I been playing this wrong?
I thought you needed to roll a d6 for initiative for each tank. Tank activation is then in order of initiative. Highest goes first. “Wild sixes” can be used to increase initiative in the next activation.

What a Tanker game

I played a game of What a Tankers with my sons yesterday. What a tanker is a good game to play with kids. Especially them against me :). They get to control their own tank and only have to control and plan for 1 element. They can then act independently or decide to work together (and achieve much be...

Re: Lardy Rules Options for Crusades Skirmsh?

I haven't seen such an adaption anywhere but would think Dux could be adapted to Crusades. Disclaimer: I don't play Infamy and don't have an in depth knowledge of troops and tactics in the Crusades era. From what I do know the troop types are similar to Dux: heavy cavalry, light cavalry, archers, sk...
