15mm Mini recommendations?

Hi
Ive got saxons and Romano British forces in 28mm but I’m considering creating forces in 15mm.
Apart from the Splintered Light miniatures would anyone care to offer a suggestion for a nice range in 15mm?

Re: Blitzkrieg 1940: Questions: Pioneer Squads

I’ve got real issues with the pioneer list. It’s ridiculously under priced (or over powered). A platoon of these guys can take three Flamethrowers for the princely sum of 3 support points whereas other platoons are forking over 9 support points!!!! As a support opting surely a pioneer squad should b...

Re: question in regards to 2" mortar smoke

I would have no problem firing it as the LOS is not blocked. John , even though the rest of the crew with the ammo are in smoke that blocks LOS, would not the crew not be able to find the shells and the loading breech? The smoke might block LOS to the gun but the troops within and in such close pro...

Re: Any one

I’ve played using Aussies in both Pacific and North Africa TOS. They play as good as any platoon. Play to their strengths, good Command and Control with the two Snr Leaders. The 2 inch mortar is a real asset. Ultimately however it comes down to the player,... The list for Nth Africa / Western Desert...

Re: At the risk of sounding like a d@#k,...

Hi Scott, I'd also be inclined to make the German Pioneer Platoon scenario specific and balance out the benefits by giving the opponent his pick of fixed defences, bunkers and the like for the Pioneers to practice their arts on. But not pick up games against regular defenders. :-) John I agree,... ...

Re: Starting out

Can I activate the section (because a 3 means I can activate the Jnr Leader & the SECTION) Strictly speaking a 3 means you activate just the Junior Leader. The JL can then use his initiatives to activate the section. The only command dice that activates a section directly is a 2. As I’ve suspected

Re: Starting out

I believe the answer is that, if you use a 3 to activate the JL and he spends both his CIs on Concentrated Fire, the rifle team do nothing. I think the exception to this is at the point of Deployment where the rifles *do* get to fire because, at this time, they are under 'perfect control'. Where do...

Re: Starting out

Question! I have a die roll of 3 which I wish to use to activate a British Section. Can I activate the section (because a 3 means I can activate the Jnr Leader & the SECTION) and subsequently use two command initiatives to invoke my National Characteristic ‘Concentrated Fire’ using the Jnr Leader (b...

Re: At the risk of sounding like a d@#k,...

I would personally prefer that costings for support options did not take into account "rarity"; I think that some of the published material sometimes applies that (eg: making the AVRE cheaper in Op Martlet because they were commonly available for that operation). That said, I do like the rule in th...
