Hi, I'm sorry, this question has certainly been posed elsewhere but I can't find it. If a noble is in combat on his own (since the group he was with has been wiped out and he chose to fight) he counts hits as wounds and ignores shock. But what is he rated as? If he is the lord, he is certainly elite...

I disagree with the second point. On page 51 first passage you'll find that a unit is not able to turn if it is goaded by another unit from its front. So in my understanding the goad-card enables a flank attack same way as the carpe diem card, only it needs two units for a flank attack instead of one.
