Hi John,
We'll play it like that. Rules and scenario's say something different, hence my confusion.
cheers

Re: does hunker down count as 1 of your movement dice?
Hi John,
I accept the ruling
. I was looking at it in a very simplistic way. For me everything that has to do with movement comes out of the 3 movement action dice. At present hunkering down and entering a building no longer come out of those action dice.

Re: Is ACAV in it's M113 still a machine gun squad
Hi John,
7.5.1 says that they shoot with the same number of Action dice as a full squad. In this example they are a machine gun squad - squad gets an extra die when firing above it's basic 3 dice. Does the HMG get 4 dice or 3 dice when firing?
cheers

Sorry Jan, I still think that all squads (not blinds) are limited to 3 action dice regarding movement. To be clear, this is about entering a building not to hunker down.

Re: surf's up sniper
Hi John and Gavin, Yesterday we tried deploying across the board and not within a given distance from a blind. We immediately ran into trouble as the squads having fired wanted to move away - in order to set a new ambush - and we didn't know what to do with the blinds. In the end we opted that the V...

Re: Effect of unbuttoned
Hi John,
Agreed. But that should also be the case for the guys manning the machineguns in an M113. They should get a solid cover bonus but also be liable to normal small arms fire.
A pity that this is the nth case of things not covered in the rules.
cheers

Is ACAV in it's M113 still a machine gun squad
Hi all,
Is the .50 on an M113 still considered a machinegun squad (3+1 dice) or a normal squad (3 dice)?? +1 only for LMG's??
cheers

Re: surf's up sniper
Hi all, Still looking for an answer about the deployment of the platoon. Ik you use hidden movement and you start moving how do you handle blinds? Hidden unit that fires generates a fire marker but can then move away and become a blind. How do you handle this when your squads are not grouped togethe...

Effect of unbuttoned
Hi all,
What is the consequence of being unbuttoned? Being buttoned-up gets a -1 (too little?) to spotting but that is the only thing we could find about it.
cheers

Additional dice used to spot also for leaders?
Hi
Can a big man use extra command initiatives to increase his chance to spot? The rules only give the extra for action dice but this seems logical.
cheers
