Re: CoC Vietnam AAR - Updated July 27 for Scenario 2

Thank you both. Captain, I think I might have stolen the term PEF (but none of the mechanisms) from Two Hour Wargames. They have quite a lot of rules downloadable for free, so you might want to check them out for solo mechanisms. I completely agree that my initial deployment did not help the NVA, bu...

Re: CoC Vietnam AAR - Updated July 27 for Scenario 2

It took a while, what with one thing and another, but here is the AAR for a slightly anticlimactic Scenario 2: “The Hills are Alive”. http://www.wd3.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=3319 Will Task Force Ranson escape unscathed again? What do you think? https://i.postimg.cc/jSQrs3Cx/7087730D-36C2-457C-89FD...

Fantastic AAR as ever, and yes, it looks beautiful too,

The Baron is definitely missing a set of his dice.

Re: 29, Let's Go! campaign (updated 22 03 20)

Another great report! Dave definitely played a blinder and there was little you could do, Baron's dice or not. Please tell me the two of you have decided to self-isolate together so you can get on with the campaign? No rugby, no F1, I can cope with. No Tactical Painter AARs may be more than this poo...

Re: True North LardEhs Game Day May 30 @ Broadsword 10

Sounds excellent. I'm in Toronto and did the Hamilton trip for Migscons back in the day. Haven't made it to a Broadsword yet, but this might be enough to get me over.

Re: Gembloux Gap campaign (updated 24 02 20)

Just brilliant! A great AAR to round of a hugely entertaining campaign. Many thanks for taking the time and trouble to produce these (plus a special cheer for the French!)

Re: Gembloux Gap campaign (updated 09 02 20)

Now that I've gone to all the trouble of actually joining the forum, I will echo the Baron and say what an excellent AAR this was. In fact, I have enjoyed all your AARs from this and previous campaigns, and aspire to the same quality for mine. I'll admit to my preference for your opponent's French, ...

Re: CoC Vietnam AAR

No claymores. As you say, this was a rear area base not expecting trouble. Jason has excellent rules for claymores in his DMZ v2.

7dot62mm, thank you. Some of those conversions are nearly 30 years old, done when I had decent eyesight and spare time.

CoC Vietnam AAR - Updated July 27 for Scenario 2

Evening all. Long time lurker, first time poster here. Figured it was about time I gave something back to the community, so here’s an AAR of the first outing for my CoC Vietnam variant rules. I call them Fudged Fighting Season , in honour of the Afghan rules that never were and the all-important acr...
