Re: 28mm MDF Buildings for Normandy

I’ve got stuff from Empires at War, he’s a great person to trade with, very fair and efficient.
Plus, apparently his buildings are based on actual buildings in the Normandy region at the time.
He also does back yards and privy’s something that can really bring your table to life!

Re: I’ve opted for the all auxiliary force...

I like my armies to be a nod in the right direction for history.
But I’m not a rivet counter.
I suppose it’s only a matter of days before the book lands, and I can look at support options.
Maybe I can just add more auxilia.

Please feel free to add more suggestions,
Thanks

Re: I’ve opted for the all auxiliary force...

I’ve got auxiliary cavalry too?
So still Gallic cav?
I thought by the time the legions started equipping auxiliary units that Gallic warriors would just get recruited into those units?

Of course I’m no expert on this!

I’ve opted for the all auxiliary force...

I’ve ordered my Victrix auxiliary force, plus some Warlord auxiliary archers and a bolt thrower (I’ll convert some crew into auxiliary crew) Plus I’ve got the movement trays from Charlie Foxtrot. Is it correct that Auxiliaries can choose to fight in skirmish formation? And if so do I need different ...

Re: Simple infamy question...

I’d like to use 1p coins for my rank and file, and 2p coins for characters. But the size of some of these ancient figures worries me that they won’t fit. If I have to compromise and use 2p coins for rank and file then that is fine, I’ve got a stack of these too. However I was concerned it may compro...

Re: Background reading recommendations for Infamy

Someone already beat me to it, Simon Scarow books with Macro and Cato are probably spot on for the feel of Infamy Infamy. One day Hollywood will make them into movies, except I don’t think the US won that war? Saying that the HBO tv series ‘Rome’ had a pair of Centurian types very similar to Macro a...

Re: Simple infamy question...

Thanks. War bases eh, I’ve had stuff from those guys before, good service. I’m probably best watching some of these Lardy videos to get a better idea. I think a core of 4 units of 8 legionaries is the best start. Final question.... Should I put command figures and standards etc in my units of 8 OR l...
