So has the Far East Supplement gone the way of the Dodo? It's been just short of a year since Rich said he was starting on the layout and several months since he said he was finishing the Commonwealth forces and no word since. Is it time for taps?

The US models did not use Hydrogen, they used nitrogen whish is inert, nobody used hydrogen.

FYI, after the war the S Army did a study on the use of flamethrowers. One of the conclusions was that that contrary to popular opinion there is NO evidence that will flamethrowers explode when hit by bullets or shrapnel.

With the exception of those units that were serving as garrisons on the various islands at the start of the war, all US Army units were equipped with the M1 Garand.

The uniforms used in the PTO were HBTs. At first it was a coverall but that was problematic when responding to the call of nature. So later they then went to a two piece HBT uniform.

One point on the GD squad firing their rifles. According to the US Army handbook on the Japanese Army the grenadiers themselves didn't carry rifles. That is backed up by the fact that they didn't have ammo pouches for rifle ammo. So when the squad uses it's rifles you should subtract the grenadiers ...
