Re: In which order?

I had previously played that the support moved back first allowing the leading unit to move behind the support. Going forward doing both at the same time makes more sense. Always good to have one unit from the brigade slightly back then that isn’t supporting a lead unit to allow the lead and support...

In which order?

Dont have the rules with me, but was playing a game recently. In essence after loosing combat my leading unit had to retreat behind a unit. In addition my support had to retire. So do you move the supporting unit first so that the lead unit can go behind it. Or does the leading unit do its move firs...

Re: 6mm Basing

I dont have any Adler figures so dont really know base size. Each baccus strip of infantry is 20mm long for four men and comfortable be two ranks deep on a 20mm by 20mm. In essence if wanting to do 40mm x 20mm it would take 4 strips of infantry amounting to 24 men per base. The difficulty is having ...

Re: 6mm Basing

In essence the same numbers of figures as I use. 40mm by 20mm are easier to move if not using movement trays. With just three bases, forming a square might be a pain but also column of march may not be possible. I did start my project doing 2 x20mm by 20mm bases and 2 40mm by 20 bases to do squares....

Re: 6mm Basing

Yes, for a standard unit both are 6 bases of 20mm by 20mm side by side. Although i tend to have my cavalry of three bases long and two bases deep. In essence wider than an infantry unit in column which I have as two bases long and three bases deep.

Re: 6mm Basing

I believe its up to the players to do decide as long as both sides are the same. I use 20mm frontage for all my bases such as skirmisher, infantry, cavalry and artillery. Only the artillery have a deeper base size of 40mm. Might want to have larger bases for skirmishers, for example if your infantry...

Re: 100 Days - Battle of Gilly

Sounds like a good game. I was building forces to do the quatre bras scenario.

Although I may try the battle of gilly and swap the Prussians out for some Brunswick/Dutch troops as I have yet to start on Prussians yet.
