Re: Gembloux Gap campaign (updated 19 10 19)

Success at last. A sigh of relief in the German HQ. Croix de Guerre and perhaps a Legion d'Honeur on the French side for such a stalwart defence.

Re: Gembloux Gap campaign (updated 05 10 19)

Quite a dramtic twist of fortune. The Germans were so unlucky in that squad's tardy crossing of the road. By this stage of a campaign I'd be looking at bypassing the village to cut off the defenders, or call in a serious artillery pounding. Looking forward to how this plays out.

Following your trials and tribulations in the campaign is really engrossing. It's interesting to compare yours with other reports of the same scenarios. Thanks for sharing, and better luck with your next game.

Re: Levy Monks

A palisade is a possibility, but a boundary ditch and bank is more likely. There could be as many as three such ditches and banks parallel to each other depending on the importance and the maturity of the monastic site.

A bit late to the thread but I'll second this.

Great game report with excellent terrain and figures. It was a tough scenario for the Americans to take on.
