Re: Is anyone buying 1/72 kits these days?

I assume you are in the UK, then this contact might be useful:- mspicer68@hotmail.com Mark is a dealer in plastic model kits, unmade and built, especially large collections. He bought my Dad's entire collection of 1/72nd scale aircraft, Dad did not get that much money for them but it was better than...

Re: Updated points system for What a Tanker and AI tanker

Thank you for making these lists available, but I have noticed that Japan's Type 2 Ka-Mi is now only 1point cost, is this an error? should it be 2 points? The next tank up (Type 89 I-Go) is 3pts' but only 1 strike better. Also, say a single M3 Stuart, could be matched against 9! Ka-Mi's where as at ...

Re: Use of the Tanker Deck in 1 off games.

Here is an addition to my system of using Tanker Cards in one off games: If there are no Level 4 and above tanks being used, then Level 1 get 2 Tanker Cards. Level 2 get 1 Card each. If no Level 3 and above, then only Level 1 Tanks get a single Card each. What prompted this addition is that the last...

Re: Doubts on point costs and big tanks

My suggestion is to have lots of woods and buildings about, use them to keep breaking the acquires the big tanks get on you and also try to get behind them, a big tank only has to lose 1 command die and things become awkward for it, lose 2 and it starts to struggle and remember it may have a powerfu...

Re: Use of the Tanker Deck in 1 off games.

This is an ammendment to my post above: Having played more games with my own system I described above, I have found that giving a level 4 tank an extra Tanker card does make them just a tiny bit too powerful for their points cost, so now for my one off games:- Level 1tank = 3 extra cards, level 2 = ...

Re: M10 Tank Destroyer and Ramming

On the M10 = Fast, there is simular situation with the Sherman Firefly which is rated Slow but it by no means lacked speed, it was just slower than the standard Shermans it usually worked with. The rules I think are in that case are reflecting the danger of the Firefly getting left behind in an adva...

Re: Do you get to draw a tanker card on a kill?

The rules say you only get your cards at the begining BUT in my opinion, there is nothing stopping you from declaring for that battle, a card is gained straight away for a kill, just as long as the players know beforehand.

Re: What a tanker house rules

Adding to my post above, any tank within 6" of a "brewed" vehicle would be also subject to my "1"= compulsory move house rule. In a recent game we had someone using a burning tank as cover which caused us to wonder if a real life crew would be happy to be so close to a possiable explosion!

Use of the Tanker Deck in 1 off games.

In our club we play WAT as 1 off battles with each player bringing and using their own tank models to a set number of points and each game they try different types of tank with no set year of the war (so no career ladder used) As the points system favours the later heavier tanks (not usually a probl...

Re: How much strike should HMGs have?

I rate my Vickers Light Tank (HMG) model at Armour 2, Strike 1, Rapid Fire, Small, 5pts, which seems to work without any add ons or exceptions to the rules. The BESA 15mm Gun version could be Strike 2. My Panzer I model, I rate as Armour 2, Strike 0*, Rapid Fire, Small, 4pts. (* so target needs to b...
