Re: Historicon Lodging

John: I was able to get a room at the Clarion Inn and Suites from the 11th to 14th for $89.00 (AAA member discount applied). It is one mile from the convention center and the receptionist said there is plenty of parking downtown in lots or garages or we can walk if it is a nice day. Looking forward ...

Historicon Lodging

Hello all: I think I can get a few days to visit Historicon with my son this year. I checked and the venue that is hosting the convention is sold out. Does anyone know of any hotels close to the convention site? I am worried that there is no parking in downtown Lancaster and prefer not to spend hour...

Re: What a tanker house rules

There was actually an episode of Tank Wars this weekend (I think that is the name on the History Channel) on the Korean War. A Chinese T34 ran into a US tank in the fog and they became entangled. They fired at each other several times but the guns didn't really point in a way that the rounds hit the...

Re: Want To Try

Richard: Thank you for sharing! For my sons project we elected to use 40mm square bases with 4 men per base at 28mm: will this work if we use counters to keep track of kills? I know it will give us less coverage on the table but we already purchased a few hundred bases. We will be making single base...

Re: Want To Try

I have found lots of videos with AWI and Napoleonic but I can't seem to find any with ACW games. Does anyone know of a channel or site that has SP videos in ACW? The more I watch the Beasts of War and Table Top HQ demos the more interested I am. Just need to see a ACW game being played. Thanks for a...

Re: Want To Try

Mining: I’m not sure to be honest. They are well written and the rule book is nice. I’ve read through them a few times and they just don’t wow me. The rules that come in the Perry Brothers Battle in a Box (I believe they are “Firepower”) are very similar but no wow/ excitement factor for me. My bigg...

Re: Want To Try

Thank you John! I have watched a lot of the Tabletop CP videos (that is where my interest in CoC and SP started. Beasts of War do very good videos that highlight different products/rules/companies and their TFL ones are very good. I met several Lardie representatives at Fall In (HMGS large conventio...

Re: Want To Try

Gunnar: I can not take credit for the test tubes of Grand Marnier; I was envious of them. My son and I were the two PZ38T's that left after turn 4 to make room for the other two fellows that wanted to try the rule set. I did join the WaT FB page and posted some pictures of our first few games on our...
