Also for clarification
A retreating / routing unit can rally behind a unit from a faltering brigade or an unformed unit

So if a unit recieved a rout whilst it's brigade is faltering it can still rally next turn?

Hi John If you check old posts on the forum then you'll see a great response about cavalry against infantry column and you'll see that it's still best to get your infantry into square.
