Rout after falter

Hi again. I looked to see if this has been asked which it was kind of touched on but not enough to stop me to ask a question. My British Lt dragoons brigade charged a French Lt cav brigade. The brits routed one and the other French cav unit retired as he was behind in support in which it lost a casu...

Re: Massed Columns

Funny how we can't find things we know are there. 😁 Firing at mass columns then you pick one of the columns as the main target there for let's say you have 3 inf columns and you inflict 5 hits, 3 hits would go on the target column as they get the majority of hits and then one hit each on the other t...

Re: Cavalry Charging Attack Column

Hi John If you check old posts on the forum then you'll see a great response about cavalry against infantry column and you'll see that it's still best to get your infantry into square. IMO skirmishers make the game, imagine leaving your foot battery without cover and the effect skirmishers can have ...

Re: Artillery priority targets

I agreed at first hence the question. Don't you think it's a bit gamey especially if the two separate brigades firing their artillery at the same target could be let's say over a quarter of a mile away from each other and yet they are targeting the same unit as if in Mr Brown's words " having 21st c...

Artillery priority targets

In the amendments if artillery jave an ADC in command they can fire on whom they see fit. Now does this now allow artillery from two different brigades to target the same enemy unit?

Thanks

Re: British Infantry Countercharge, difference in wording

Ahhh as I never played the optional rule you make a valid point. So in normal rules are you not allowed to counter charge if the enemy is in column? Interesting question Mart.

Re: British Infantry Countercharge, difference in wording

Hey Mart

This only happens in the charge phase so in the charge reactions you'll see that the only time they come unformed allowing the british to counter charge is when the enemy fail to charge home and stop to give a volley.

So it's the same ruling with just less words

Re: 100 Days scenarios - Arriving Off Table Reserves

Played the same scenario yesterday and that's how we played it with the brigades automatically turn up turn 3 and 4
