Re: CoC: Fighting Season Playtesting?

Definitely a lost opportunity, IMO.

I have wondered about Skirmish Sangin and I'm OK with mostly Afghanistan. My fictional country (Zangarostan) is going to be part Somalia/Yemen and part Afghanistan. I've heard good things about the rules, but just haven't bought them yet.

Re: CoC: Fighting Season Playtesting?

When I was reading Force on Force I really like that part about the troop quality, etc.

Re: CoC: Fighting Season Playtesting?

Andy - I remember you using these rules. I might have to check them out also.

I also have Force on Force, but never have played a game.

Neil Todd - Thanks for the info. The TFL battle reports I read, kind of made me interested in moderns for the first time... :)

CoC: Fighting Season Playtesting?

Hi All, I usually don't like being "that guy", but I've gotten into moderns and I've bought and read through "Spectre: Operations". Not as impressed as I am with CoC... So that brings the questions... Is Fighting Season being playtested? Do you need more volunteers? Is there a set of notes I can use...

Re: 37mm canister

I've been toying with the idea of introducing the rules from ASL for "special ammunition". Basically, each vehicle has AP/HE and some have other types based on year/availability. This is quantified into a number (2-12) that represents the likelihood of the tank having that ammo "available" for that ...

Re: AUFKLARUNGS SQUAD question

It's generally the same as regular PzGs...

It also really matters what year/unit you are talking about

Re: To the Viktor Line - Campaign

I believe the Crusader AA MkII had 20mm Oerlikons, so perhaps that can serve as a guide for the Consolidated Arsenal? I've attached a link which includes specs for the Oerlikons if that helps. Can someone check my values here... It seems a little "good" as compared to the Bofors, I really don't kno...

Re: To the Viktor Line - Campaign

Regarding the PIAT... I know by Normandy it was definitely at platoon HQ level. There could certainly be differences in Italy, as I know there were some on the German side.

Re: To the Viktor Line - Campaign

The references I've seen suggest the Kensingtons AA guns would have been 20mm Oerlikons but I'm not sure if that is correct, and if correct, can't find anything in the Consolidated Arsenal. Do you have some numbers for the 20mm guns? I can put them in the CA. The CA only has "direct fire" (i.e. on ...
