Re: Von Luck Campaign Questions

Rotating Platoons - men 'missing in next game' is an At The Sharp End thing, so when we played through this the assumption is the men return before their platoon is rotated back in. As you say, you would lose the killed men. The dicing for the 1st platoon we played as the book states - every turn (c...

Re: Online Lard

Tabletop Simulator (which you can get on Steam) has some Chain of Command style tables, although you can borrow figures etc from any bolt action table.

Re: Interrupt Question

thanks - I think?? From the FAQ then - 9.1.3 Firing on Overwatch ...If an enemy unit begins its turn in the overwatch area, or deploys into it, you cannot fire unless that enemy fires first but then you may respond so, you can't fire on a unit deploying into an overwatch area. Unless they fire first...

Re: Interrupt Question

Just as an addendum there, are you saying that if you have overwatch on an enemy JoP and the enemy deploy , you can't fire at them unless they fire, and only after letting them fire first? Is that correct? This happened to me recently and when I deployed I was fired on, I was sure we looked it up an...

Re: Warlord Plastic Matilda II

I know Warlord have posted the picture of the box art and not much else, but I thought I'd mention the Churchill Platoon set had variants for Mk III, CS, AVRE, 75NA, Mk IV and V versions of the Churchill so it came with plenty of variants, so maybe this plastic Matilda set will do as well?

an opponent turned his 3x Rhino APCs into Vindicator tanks by blu-tacking onto the front the green lids from bottles of 7UP.

Re: Operation Martlet

Interesting take on mortars. One of the problems I faced during Kampgruppe von Luck is that my men needed to be relatively close to provide support to each other, for example two sections ~4" apart with a SL in the middle, but a 9" square barrage would pin a good chunk of my Paras from both sections...

Re: Loss of carrier support.

Isn't it three men with a Bren Gun (a Bren Team) and a JL - that's 4 in total?

Re: Aircraft design rules and VTOL rules

As a slight technical point of order, VTOL properly refers to the take off and landing characteristics of an aircraft. In combat, the term you would use would be 'VIFFING', which stands for 'Vectoring in Forward Flight', however there are varied stories about its actual effectiveness or even attempt...

Re: Kampfgruppe von Luck PSC AARs

The germans are back, and having another go at the 'Corridor of Death'. We have got a possible 3 games left of this campaign including this one and three maps left, so the Germans need to win every one to take the landing grounds and push on to the bridges. https://mortis-custodes.blogspot.com/2018/...
