Re: Coastal Patrol ship data

Thought I would pass on the unfortunate news that James Schmidt, theauthor of these rule has passed. He was in bad health for several months. The family has returned back to their home state of Nebraska. Coastal Patrol is a great set of rules and we still play them on a regular basis.

2nd game in our Havana 1762 SP campaign

The second game in our 15mm Havana SP campaign was a lot of fun with some interesting Cuban/Spanish units. Another game inspired by the Stuart Imsch booklet Against Spain: Wargaming the Sieges of Havana and Manila 1762-1764. This sceanrio takes place 6 miles or so from the Cojimar beaches, June 8, 1...

Havana 1762 Landing at Cojimar SP AAR

Looking for some different settings for SP games I decided on expanding my 7yW in the Carribean with the British attack on Havana in 1762. I used Stuart Insch's Against Spain booklet as inspiration. The first game was a British assault on a beach redoubt outside Havana. The Crown had a force of 32 G...

Road to Orsogna 6mm IABSM AAR

This scenario takes place as the 2nd New Zealand Div pushed west towards Orsogna, a battlegroup of the 18th Arm Rgt, 22nd Mot Bttn and some armored cars of the Divisional Cavalry made a feint along the Melone - Guardigrele road. The Germans are hard pressed and hoping to at least stall the Allied pu...

North shoulder Kursk 6mm IABSM

Doing the north shoulder of Kursk always gives me a chance to break out everyone's favorite big assault guns. This game takes place a few days into Citadel with the German offensive running into a counterattacking Soviet force in wide open terrain. The German players had 4) Ferdinands, 3) StuG IIIs ...

Re: 2023 Apparently Annual Sharp Practice Holiday game

One of the reasons we like 15s is the way they look with scenery and the game scale.
Thanks

2023 Apparently Annual Sharp Practice Holiday game

The Mohawk valley in 1780 was the setting for our 2023 Holiday game. I wanted to get back to a snowy scenario for this year's game. The idea was a rescue attempt by Rangers and natives of the Crown's Indian Department of a family of a prominent chief. 1 player would control this force. Another would...

Re: Annual Birthday Sale.

If you are looking for something a bit off beat for SP the Jenkin's Ear book is great. Highlanders, Native Americans and various Spanish types fighting in the coastal southern colonies. And several coastal sailing actions too!
