Re: My first go at Sharp Practice

That was a phenomenal number of random events in a single game. Can I ask if you were using cards or chips for activation. One of the drawbacks of using cards is the difficulty of getting a truly random shuffle which means that cards can remain in sequence over Turn Ends. John Chips. Although I'm n...

My first go at Sharp Practice

I took the time to do a massive re-basing project. A Napoleonic French division and A Prussian brigade(+). Now that the glue has dried and the mdf has been flocked I got to put the troops on the table on their first SP outing. I really enjoyed the game and look forward to many more. Please have a re...

Very nice table. What is the mat?
Hi Milo, The basic mat is a cheap grey fleece blanket painted with acrylic paints (using a big house painting brush). The other pieces are teddy bear fur, trimmed and painted in the same manner.

Great videos. They are very inspiring for our planned PSC next year. But... You've gotta remember to re-roll those 1's with the M1. You're cheating yourself out of dozens of potential hits every game.

Ville de Montagne - Tommy Brings it On!

Another game of CoC - I still haven't played as many games as I'd like but I'm getting more under my belt and getting to better know the rules. Slowly but surely, we're getting there. This is a basic scenario I wrote up for a club game today in Melbourne. Please have a look and a read on my blog at:...

Here Come the Dogfaces - An AAR

Another game of COC. I'm still new at it but this is my 4th game now. Another very enjoyable game this time with US Rifle Platoon v's German Infantry, somewhere in France. The first time on the table for my new US troops & I also got to use my nice new table mat that I made just the day before, too....

Re: Hodges Gets a Gong (CoC AAR)

Just one thing, I thought the Aussies were defending? In the Probe scenario it's the attacker who wins by getting a team off the opponent's table edge not the defender. Looks like someone forgot to tell Lt.Hodges. John I'm still a novice. The terms and conditions were read out aloud by my opponent ...

Hodges Gets a Gong (CoC AAR)

I played another COC game yesterday, but this time set in the Pacific 1942 - Aussies vs Japanese. It was a great game with plenty of drama and my first COC victory. Please have a read of my AAR an see just how Hodges wins his gong! http://this28mmlife.blogspot.com/2019/09/hodges-gets-gong.html https...

CoC - My first proper game

Greetings folks. This is my first post and my AAR for my first proper game of CoC. It was actually my 2nd game but that first one was just a quick demo-game set up by a friend. I wasn't too taken with CoC with that demo game but I've been watching Lard TV (and other things) and decided to give the g...

Re: Close combat and recon units break off

With relation to the FOO. I would say that if they get involved with a close combat (where they are bound to lose) the result could be read that they have abandoned their post and lost their heavy radio equipment. And without that equipment they are effectively hors de combat - Like gunners without ...
