Re: Crossing the Atlantic with War of 1812
Knuckleduster Miniatures do an 1812 line. I have no idea how accurate they are or sizing compared to other manufacturers, but their western line (Gunfighters Ball) are great sculpts so might be worth a peak.

Re: French Regular Infantry - French Indian wars
Hey John, Is there a reason you chose the Warlord infantry (I think they are the old Conquest sculpts maybe?) over another vendor? I’m looking to get into the French and Indian War as a period and I have a whole bunch of AWI models that can double (First Nations models, Militia types and some woodsm...

Re: What A Wild West Tanker
Just want to throw it out there for folks considering this, Knuckleduster Miniatures (makers of Gunfighter’s Ball, an old west very small model count game) has some incredible models. He’s got over 100 gunfighters (Many you’ll recognize) and probably 40 civilian models as well to populate the area. ...

Re: Needed: German CO to pick supports
Worked just fine for me now. Good looking table. I hope you have a good game. I don’t have experience enough for suggestions but love reading everyone’s tabletop exploits!
Ps...what scale is that? 15mm?

Re: Patches of Snow
I don’t know if you’ve ever tried them, but the Citadel Technical paints are really pretty good. They make a snow that could be applied over other textured bases. You could easily put more of it in shadowed areas (next to rocks or in the lee of scrub or grasses) and use some less over muddy ground t...

Re: FIW PAINTING TIPS
I have a project that is very similar. I haven’t started yet but I’ve been using the new(ish) Citadel Contrast paints by GW. I’ve been paining models for a western game but I’ve been using one of their flesh tones (Guilliman Flesh) over the GW Wraithbone base spray. It’s a bit redder than I would li...

Re: ANCIENT SHARP PRACTICE
I actually have been looking at Warlord’s SPQR but the rules and gameplay seemed bogged down by something I can’t quite put my finger on. But that starter box is gorgeous and I want to paint Romans...I’ll be buying these rules too. Can’t wait.

Re: Scratch build, Signal box
Hey John, that looks great! I have a question for you. What size rail are you using for the tracks? I saw the picture where you showed the controllers cables linking to rail and was just wondering what size it is. I’ve always struggled to get something to match 28mm reliably and have been considerin...

Re: CoC 28mm Sd.Kfz. 251/1 Ausf.D Hanomag
Hot on the tails of the British M5 is my first attempt at German Armour. This Hanomag will soon be seeing action against the Red Devils..... Should be interesting to see how Man U cope with it. What do we think - a diamond midfield, or perhaps two wing-backs sweeping in front of the centre-halves? ...
