Re: Poe Field, Chickamauga Scenario

By the way, thanks DB for the compliments on the figures.

Incidentally, they're all 15mm, mostly Peter Pig with a few Blue Moon and Old Glory vignettes, owned and painted by yours truly.

Re: Poe Field, Chickamauga Scenario

Tried it again yesterday with the roles reversed. Jack deployed King on his right. http://i1238.photobucket.com/albums/ff498/KLowth/Poe%20Field%202/IMG_4961_zpsp1yjxlhw.jpg Beatty and Croxton held the centre. http://i1238.photobucket.com/albums/ff498/KLowth/Poe%20Field%202/IMG_4963_zps2mslhqdy.jpg h...

Poe Field, Chickamauga Scenario

Hi all. Hope you all had a good Xmas and all.... Thursday past saw my ten year old son Jack and I play Dave Brown's Poe Field, Chickamauga scenario from the latest TFL Special. Ended up as a Union victory despite the Rebels throwing six double sixes and killing three regimental Colonels...a few pics...

Re: 2 Brigades a Side?

I've played half a dozen games with a couple of brigades per side. After a couple of games I now add an extra bonus Staff Officer as a house rule for small games.

Re: PC or TCHAE?

I've played very successful games of PC with three brigades per side and had lots of fun for up to three hours.

Re: PC or TCHAE?

Horses for courses. Personally, I dislike Fire and Fury Regt as to me it's a little bit micromanagement. Having played multiple games of TCHAE and more recently PC, I can say that in my opinion the latter is far superior, and much more fun. I really like the mechanism of Staff Officers and rolling t...

Re: Well Done

I have to echo that too. Fantastic job done to all concerned. Arrived bang on both hard copy and tokens then PDF. Read and look great.

Can't wait to fiddle with them (the rules that is. ("You'll go blind son")), so I can use them for SYW gaming.

Marye's Heights Photo Report

My last game of 2016. Played at Wessex Wargaming Society, Southampton, with myself, eight year old son Jack, and mate Paul. The scenario came from the back of the Guns at Gettysburg rule set, but tweaked for PC. 1. Fredericksburg, 13th December 1862. Two Confederate brigades sit in a sunken road lin...

Re: charging?? help

Good for you. You'll really enjoy it. Great set of rules. Jack and I are playing a larger game of PC on Sunday. Expect another AAR mid-week.
