Re: Starting in 6mm (WW2)

I really like the Baccus (and the 2d6 looks nice too) - unfortunately the vehicle range sits, size-wise somewhere between GHQ and H&R so doesn't appear to readily mix. Sadly the range of vehicles in miniscule at this time and core vehicles seem to being rolled out very slowly. I'm also looking to us...

Re: Armoured vehicle forced off table

Thanks for your thoughts. We played it that it could return - simply deployed as per the usual rules (needing a 3 on a command die). This actually seemed fine. In respect of being "invisible" - only in the same way as any other troops you haven't deployed which are meant to be just off table. Infant...

Armoured vehicle forced off table

Last night I had a bren carrier fired at by an MG. If failed its saves and a roll made against zero hits - the result causing it to reverse off table. If the vehicle leaves the table in this way: 1. Can it return? (no shock on it etc) 2. If not does it count as lost and "bad things happen"/morale lo...

EW Question - Stukas

If Stuka attack is taken and a small team e.g. 2" mortar, Boyes AT rifle etc is brought on - taking 4 shock, are they immeditely Broken and rout?

It would appear so in RAW but seems a little severe.

SP ancients at Partizan - info?

I wasn't able to get to Partizan but understand that there was an excellent SP ancients game put on.

Is this part of the rules being developed as mebtioned in a post a few weeks ago or something different?

Is there a copy of the rules used available, please?

Re: Battalion HQ forum

Very much looking forward to these rules. I'd love to see a set of historical scenarios to go with the rules. What would also be really useful would be an article in the next Special on converting IABSM scenarios to use with O Group (so upscaling to Battalion size games). :D

Re: podcast 20 discussion on historical accuracy of gaming

My journey was similar to yours. After 40 years gaming I've gone through the search for the holy grail and historical accuracy. Now I'm an old git I swing back towards fun with an acceptable level of acuracy. :D With so many rule sets and scales covering all periods of historical gaming I'm just ple...

Re: SP Ancients?

John- yes, I saw that, thanks but wasn't sure if they were being done in collaboration or if this effort was more "official". :)
