Re: Border Between Companies
The Domgaming mega games in Cornwall used a set of rules which had very strict boundary rules - no move or fire- and frankly, it led to some bloody stupid situations. Stands sitting literally adjacent with both, or worse, one, unable to fire. Entire armoured battalions in plain sight driving past en...

Re: Couple of force construction related questions
“Panzergrenadier advantages: a) +2 Firepower dice at close range. b) Reroll if target in Open or Spotted. c) Rate of Fire bonus more likely to occur, (due to more firepower dice and rerolls). d) Free/cheap AFV transports, including platoon commanders AFVs. When you play a game with Panzergrenadiers ...

Re: Novice decides to dive in
Nice call regarding metal, I had not considered that and was thinking plasticard may fit the bill, but possibly too brittle, but metal could be a nice alternative to good old 2mm mdf. I have a bit of an irrational hang up over “thick” bases, so am using 0.8mm plywood with my new 10mm stuff. Very th...

Re: Armored Platoon Command Dice
I've had one tank on the table and not been able to activate it every turn. Though adjusting the number of die for tanks without radios might be a good idea. Peter In big CoC you can have a separate tank platoon with its own set of 5 dice and a senior leader, with no additional support units to wor...

Re: Armored Platoon Command Dice
Yes, but if you don’t roll 3,s you are rolling something else...1s and 2’s make 3’s and 4’s. By all means try it it with 5 dice for a 3 tank platoon, and keep an eye out for how many phases you get where the platoon is prevented from doing whatever activations it desires. Trust me, there won’t be ma...

Re: Armored Platoon Command Dice
Yes it’s 5. However.... Generally speaking if you have a 3 or even 4 tank platoon, 1 of which is a senior leader, and you have 5 dice, then it’s an extremely rare set of 5 dice which won’t allow you to do pretty much exactly what you wish every phase. What I do these days is give a tank platoon the ...

Re: clarification request on 9.1.1 hits on leaders and forward observers
There is no rule mechanic which enables you to share hits between an AFV and and infantry target.
Therefore you target one or the other.
Therefore you target one or the other.

Re: 3", 80mm, 81mm Mortars, are they over powered?
I played a similar variable beaten zone idea but ditched it in the end because it just extended the “hugging” point by 6” and wasn’t really worth the extra fiddle. The only house rules I’ve used is upping the SP cost to 5sp, but also kept in a smaller barrage (12 x12”) at 4 SP to represent a 2 tube ...

Re: Advancing in Open Order
In the rules or not, play what looks good. Two inches apart always works for me. The more natural look of the top photo or the Napoleonic battle style of the bottom one. I know which i prefer  https://i.imgur.com/YY4J4sf.jpg https://i.imgur.com/rnmh6Wn.jpg Except with 28mm figures it bears no...
