Re: Lard in Sheffield

The Hallamshire works for me too.

So to summarise: The Hallamshire pub, Common side. 25th May, 20:00.

Topic - Drink beer, plan gaming, drink beer.

Assuming that's all good for everyone then see you there =).

Re: Lard in Sheffield

lol sorry yeah I meant the 25th. Is central the best place for everyone? I'm not sure which pubs might have a free room? 1) Roughly how many people might be able to come along? 2) Shall we try and get a game of something going? If so who might be able to run something? I might be able to cobble toge...

Re: Lard in Sheffield

Cool. I'm possibly free next Thursday but then again not till mid June alas. 20:00ish ? I'll be on a boat to France on June 6th ho ho. If anyone else has CoC or Dux then I might well be able to bring along the stuff for a game. My figures for Dux are currently bits of cereal box but they're already ...

Re: Lard in Sheffield

Hey Everyone, For some reason I got no notification of any of your replies and have not had a chance to check the forum. Very pleased to hear that there are other Lard gamers out there and even more so that an event has been organised! Looking at my calendar I should well be able to make May 4th. Ot...

Re: CoC compared to Crossfire

Hello Everyone, I just thought I'd let you all know that based on the M&M podcast planting the idea then we'll reasoned arguments from you all I picked up a copy of CoC from Hammerhead. Not had a chance to dive into it yet, trying to stay focused on Dux for now, but I've no doubt it won't take long ...

Lard in Sheffield

Hello Everyone, Please play a tiny violin of sympathy for me but my normal gaming group have spread to the four winds alas. This leaves me opponentless but with Dux and a new copy of CoC unplayed! Does anyone know of any gaming groups in or not too far from Sheffield who play TFL games, mainly Dux a...

Re: CoC compared to Crossfire

Thank you both for your replies I am definitely starting to see the appeal to the system. The deployment phase did indeed sound like an interesting feature I was intrigued to know more about. As has been mentioned Crossfire has a nice 'you set up wrong and are out manoeuvred then you might not touch...

Re: CoC compared to Crossfire

Hello John, Thank you for your reply. Yes I am reading very good things about the rules. I'll have a look for the videos. I like the idea that there aren't set turns and movement is more random. You shouldn't be able to see a surprise attack coming which from the discussion in the podcast these rule...

Re: The Dux Britanniarum Compendium

Do we know which Easter this might be released? I want all the Dux things but can't afford all the Christmas specials  ... I suppose though the honest answer might be that I should shut up, save up and make up my own bits and pieces :) *puts thinking helmet on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bent...
