Re: Nile Expedition 1885

Hi All, I've been giving more thought to using SP2 for the Nile Expedition. There are 2 British, 2 Egyptian, 3 Mahdist group lists shown below. I still haven't played a game of SP2, so I would appreciate hear some thoughts on if the lists below would work in a game. The next project will to develop ...

Re: What a tanker house rules

Our last four games have been in 15mm, we used inches with no problems at all. We've played on 6x4 and 6x6 table. We use 15mm as I have masses of models from my FOW days. Our games were 1940 Italian v British; 1941; British v Afrika Corp; 1943 Russians v Germans; 1944 Germans v BrItish. Regards Darren

Stout hearts and Iron trooper

Hi All, We played the race to the sea scenario from Stout hearts and Iron trooper yesterday. We swapped the British for French as we don't have any British troops. The French had cavalry as the German cavalry isn't painted yet. The German cavalry was replaced with a recon section. It was a victory t...

Nile Expedition 1885

Hi All, I'm new to Sharp Practice, and haven't played a game yet. I have masses of Madhist, Egyptian, Sudanese and British troops in 15mm, that I would like to use with Sharp Practice. Breach loading small arms are covered in the rules. I will to do some research regarding ranges of muzzle loaded co...

Re: British 95mm CS tanks

I saw this article too. My plan is to use Churchill CS tanks to suppress/take-out MG42's. And, Cromwell CS tanks to blind panthers and tigers with smoke to assist other Cromwells to manauver for flank shots. Or, suppress/take-out AT guns. I intent to us the direct fire support rule to deploy the smo...

Re: British 95mm CS tanks

Thanks TT.

I saw the same article.

I found further information showning some crews didn't think the 95mm howitzer was a particularly weapon.

Re: British 95mm CS tanks

Thanks TT.

What you say is true. The 25pdr always had a longer barrel.

I've over thought this issue. I will use a strike rating of 5.
