Re: Nile Expedition 1885

Thank you for your reply.

I did search the forum but I didn't find the article you've highlighted.

The article was helpful, I will need to think about this some more

Nile Expedition 1885

Hi All, I'm new to Sharp Practice, and haven't played a game yet. I have masses of Madhist, Egyptian, Sudanese and British troops in 15mm, that I would like to use with Sharp Practice. Breach loading small arms are covered in the rules. I will to do some research regarding ranges of muzzle loaded co...

My plan is use the models I have to field a squadron for the 2nd Household Cavalry Regiment (2HCR) 2HCR and 2nd Battalion Welsh Guards were the recon assets for the Guards Armoured Division during Operation Market Ga...

Re: British 95mm CS tanks

I saw this article too. My plan is to use Churchill CS tanks to suppress/take-out MG42's. And, Cromwell CS tanks to blind panthers and tigers with smoke to assist other Cromwells to manauver for flank shots. Or, suppress/take-out AT guns. I intent to us the direct fire support rule to deploy the smo...

Re: British 95mm CS tanks

Thanks TT.

I saw the same article.

I found further information showning some crews didn't think the 95mm howitzer was a particularly weapon.

Re: British 95mm CS tanks

Thanks TT.

What you say is true. The 25pdr always had a longer barrel.

I've over thought this issue. I will use a strike rating of 5.

British 95mm CS tanks

Hi All, The strike rating for the 95mm howitzer mounted in British CS tanks is different in the rule book and battles for liberation. For example, Pg78 of the rule book shows the Cromwell CS tank has a strike rating of 5. By contrast Pg27 of battles of liberation shows the Centaur as having a strike...

Re: In Sydney, looking to try

Our game absolutely amazing. This was my first game. I found the rules easy to understand, but all players were forced to make difficult tactical decisions, which is exactly what a good set of rules should do. We played in 28mm with 2 Panthers, one STUG, 2 Cromwells, 1 Sherman, 1 Achilles TD. The ga...
