Re: Gaming Clubs - Finding a Club - Making Friends etc

Cheers for the suggestions guys, I'll do a bit of Facebook searching and maybe buy some *shudder* hardcopy. For a millennial like me, the idea of buying a magazine is a touch unsettling :) RE my location; smack bang in the middle, near Coalville. I know a local club where they play lots of FoW, but ...

Anybody know of any UK clubs, or events that would accept newbies? Is there a list somewhere?

Re: Quick Historical Question - US Section Sizes

I think you've got me, double checked, the other forces do seem to be operating from an assumption of reduced numbers. Interestingly "the good book" specifically states a stat line for folk who want to run 10-man British sections. I get the feeling that the authors debated section strengths and the ...

Re: Quick Historical Question - US Section Sizes

I thought that at first... But it only seems to apply to the yanks. Brits are on 10 by default, the Germans 8. It feels like a deliberate design choice, but I can't figure why is like that when the rest of the book is quite carefully made to match history. I'd presume it's a game balance thing, havi...

Quick Historical Question - US Section Sizes

Hi,

Just building some forces from the "Battle for Liberation" book and I note that US rifle sections are 10-men strong. Forgive me if I'm mistaken, but my understanding was that a hot off the press US rifle section was 12 men strong

Anybody throw any light on this... or am I just being dense?

Re: Blinds question, new player etc

Cheers guys

I'll try one or other of the suggestions when I (try and) demo this.

But officially this is as intended. I can live with that.

Blinds question, new player etc

Hi guys, new here, plan to start lurking :) Played my first game of IABSM a few nights ago, most of my noob questions I've managed to answer myself from this forum and the book, but one general thought/mistake won't shake. Note: I'm going to try and introduce the game to some friends, so a comprehen...
