Re: ANCIENT SHARP PRACTICE - DISCIPLINA ET VIRTUS

I've just assembled a Roman Limes Tower that I got from a KS some years back. Looks like Roman buildings just became a priority. The army is ready.

Re: Gembloux Gap halftrack query

I think the inclusion of the 250/1 in the PSC is a typo or misunderstanding in that case. The 251 is the one to have in an Armoured Division unit that was equipped with armoured half tracks. Yes, they may have been mild steel but even the plate steel was able to be penetrated by standard bullets. I ...

Re: Gembloux Gap halftrack query

I'd be happy with that as well. Will talk to my opponent. In the main 1940 Blitzkrieg handbook, the 251 is available in the Generic Schutzen platoon support list for 2 points. As my son and I are currently playing the PSC, I would not have a problem for him to field one...with exra cost of a point.

Re: Gembloux Gap halftrack query

Agreed but then it doesn't appear in the support lists. I would have thought that it might be there albeit at a higher cost than normal dues to scarcity.

Re: Gembloux Gap halftrack query

3 Schützen Regiment with three battalions. All of the Schützen were truck mounted, apart from one company which had the much coveted, but extremely rare, SdKfz 250/1 half-tracks. from the PSC, there is no unit ref in that. My reference book on the recce units is out on loan ATM, so I am unable to ch...

Gembloux Gap halftrack query

In the list of weapons/vehicles available to a Schutzen platoon for this PSC, there is mention of a SdKfz 250/1 half track being available to one of the companies (only). I'm not sure as to why this is even mentioned as it does not appear in the support lists available to the platoon. I'm also not s...

Re: Gegbirgsjäger/Highlanders

Funny, I'd be tempted to give them helmets as the more experienced Vets as against the more brash newbies. Mind you, I am a long way from fielding my A&SH force for Malaya. Well the paintimg shows helmets but I don't honestly know would need more research. Personally I would be tempted to give NCO's...

Re: Shabby Nazi Tricks

Yep, option 1.2 is the one I find best. Used Option 1.1 at first but it has its limitations, so I tried 1.2 and IMHO it is better. The PGB is a useful first option, then a little misdirection helps the process. You just need any figure really, I tend to use a French Gendarme but I have used a French...

Re: Shabby Nazi Tricks

SNT is a bit Hit & Miss but I find combined with a Pre Game Barrage, it works well. I used both in a game of Gembloux Gap on Monday and basically shut down 2 JOPs of my French opponent, forcing him to use his left flank one and permitting my Grenadiers to push forward on his right. Accrual of CoC po...
