Re: Command Hierarchy
Hi Marc, As Ian said, using Command Flags simply increases the Command Initiatives available to the Level I Leader, it does not increase his Status or rank so control of the Formation is unaffected. Also note that a formation is commanded by the Leader who outranks any other attached leader. Being t...

Re: Charging units that charged?
Hi Phil, If you haven’t already done so can I recommend downloading the GDA FAQ/Errata from TFL’s Lard Island News blog where you will find the answer to your questions. Basically a non-phasing unit which is the target of a charge may not declare its own charge on the phasing chargers or any other u...

Re: Italian s
Are there any ww2 Italian army lists Yes. You will find some in the 1940 Blitzkreig Handbook available from TFL as well as others free to download from TFL’s Lard Island News blog. If you are on Facebook there are others in the Files section of the Chain of Command Group along with one or two Pint ...

Re: Bad Reputation
Hi Jim,
There’s no way for a Character or Gang to recover from a Bad Reputation in the course of a game or campaign. It’s too short a time and people have long memories. All you can do is saddle up and move on to another town where no one knows who you are.

Re: A few Questions
Here’s my take on your questions: 1) No units cannot voluntarily leave the table during a game. If you want to avoid a damaged unit routing and triggering a BTH roll you will need to find somewhere in cover to hide out of line of sight of the enemy. Units will only withdraw via a Jump Off Point usin...

Re: What to do with wallahs?
Since they can never operate in Formations I think Wallahs are best portrayed as a disorganised mob rather than a formed unit. So I’d go with 3 ranks and preferably on an irregular sabot tray such as those sold by Warbases in their Dux Brit/Zombie range. https://warbases.co.uk/product/dux-britzombie...

Re: Bayonets
In terms of the effect the Native Lance option is the equivalent to using a Bowie Knife in a brawl. (P59) So you would be treating the bayonet effectively as a Bowie Knife with a better hit chance. Not sure it warrants that.

Re: Experiences with WaC
Hi Snowy, Glad to hear you are enjoying the game. Not sure I fully understand your final comment. You don’t need a roll on the Events Table to recover dice from the Shock Pool during a game. You can recover dice from the Shock Pool during a Character’s activation by using an Aces High (6) dice. See ...

Re: Catching fire
Hi Steve, Sorry, I’d forgotten that element in the wing damage paragraph. Since I don’t play Pacific theatre games it isn’t something I’ve come across routinely. As tinfish says there is no test for catching fire in the rules that I know of, so I think it must mean that you have to test under the Fi...
