Re: Rules question & General queries!

For what it's worth I agree with James' answers.
On the subject of wingmen getting on the tail in their own right I would allow it but would consider the attacking formation broken from then on. The wingman is no longer doing his primary job and its flying as an individual plane.

Re: Daz's GBCOC rules

I think we are playtesting the latest version tomorrow. It's not dead, just resting... Intersting but I think maybe for me GdA may have supplemented them. I feel the same, but if Daz sticks to the earlier period covered in the last version of "Patriots and Virtue" then the two sets may complement e...

Re: Feedback wanted: Introductory campaign set during Battle of the Bulge

Hi Foggy, You need to buy the maps you want from Battlefield Historian, but they are excellent if they cover the sector you want. You can then play around with them and print out the area you want. You will still want to add detail I suspect but they would give you an idea of the predominate feature...

Re: Battles of the 100 Days - Scenarios

Bought, downloaded and scanned. Looks excellent.
I particularly liked the encouragement to use the scenarios with other forces for those of us whose armies are built around other campaigns. I'd have done that anyway but the explicit acknowledgement is a nice touch.

Re: MDF Force Morale Trackers

I use the printed ones, laminated, and never seen the need to upgrade to the MDF version.

Re: Supply convoy ambushes scenario ideas

I suggest you check out the Winter Storm Supplement which I think contains the scenario Doug is referring to. It also has a scenario for "ambushing" an armoured supply train which might give you some ideas for the scenario you want to create since it's very similar.

Re: 28mm Cavalry Basing

Hi G, I use 50x50mm bases for my cavalry and have been known to offset the rear bases a little either to the side or back if the horses heads foul the tails of the horses in front. So no I don't think it matters at all if the bases don't touch when the cavalry are in two ranks if the intention is cl...

Re: Overwatch questions

Almost right. Technically the defender blinds have reserved their actions for that Turn. Those actions can then be used later in the same Turn to spot and if successful fire upon an Attacker - that's what you have described as Overwatch. You cannot reserve actions from one turn to the next so the De...

Re: Charge and victory

Yes, the Polish Lancers could have declared an opportunity charge against the British Dragoons charging the battery, but only if they weren't themselves the subject of a simultaneous charge from the second British Dragoons. Dealing with that charge is their main priority, not intervening to defend t...

I'll be interested to see how many members you get. Meantime I've just applied to join. Happy to help answer questions either on here or there, though I think the forum is best suited to handling rule discussions.
