There's nothing saying you can't enter the table on a road or board edge in reverse. Just sayin'...

Re: Portée guns

Also, it's worth pointing out that when shooting at soft-skin vehicles with small arms, you are actually shooting at the crew/passengers, and the vehicle itself only has the opportunity to get damaged if you roll a bunch of 6s to hit. So no, the gun crew are not immune to small arms fire. They do ho...

Re: Western Desert Army Lists 1941 - 1943

The platoon structure of the Commonwealth forces (Brits, Aussies, Canadians, New Zealanders, Indian Divisions, etc) will be the same as what's given in the 40-41 list, with the exception that at some point in mid-43 the Boys AT Rifle team will be replaced with a 2-man PIAT team. Other than that, the...

Re: Scenario One: The Patrol - Force Support Options?

It is absolutely a house rule, but we have decided to play it as: Roll a D3. Each side gets this number of points of Support (modified by the difference in Force Ratings), but Support purchases are limited to lists 1 through 3. Further, Neither side may select entrenchments, static defenses, or a pr...

Re: Totensonntag

I think I mentioned it in the debrief section of the previous campaign turn, but people often don't believe me when I tell them that the overall balance in this campaign slightly favors the South Africans. To have a margin of 1 VP going into the (potentially) last turn of the campaign means the next...

Re: Totensonntag

Thanks! This one was a real roller-coaster and now the margin in Campaign VPs is razor thin.

Re: Junior Leader when Section is eliminated

Also - and this might just be a house rule - once the JL is all by himself, you no longer make the roll to see if he's hit. Instead, every "kill" result produces a roll on the injury chart. But by that point he's ignoring Shock, so leaders all on their own can be pretty tough to finish off.

Re: Deploying Armoured Platoons in Big CoC

For the Totensonntag PSC (I just posted the latest AAR here: https://toofatlardies.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?p=105953#p105953 ) I lift the one vehicle per phase thing, but I do enforce the armored platoon needing to dice for units coming on if the SL is deployed. I figure at that point he's got more...
