Re: Sidneys challenge

One of the things I took away from the video was that I could quite happily focus on Market Garden solely for my WW2 gaming - there is so much variety in units, actions and situations that I doubt I could run out of things to model, game and read.

Re: New Blog - Getting back into Miniatures and the FIW

Another day and another update, this time two posts to make up for yesterday's gap (no pressure, I already had the drafts in hard copy, I just didn't post them yesterday as some orders arrived and I got distracted by ooh new shiny. https://panzerschreckds.blogspot.com/2019/07/project-fiw-1-miniature...

Re: New Blog - Getting back into Miniatures and the FIW

Will be intersted to see how you find SP2 and how it works for FIW. I played M&T for years and enjoyed it (hate SAGA M&T is nothing like it). Stopped playing when the local players swapped to Black Powder and/or SP2 as the scale and complexity didn't grab me. YMMV. Now if Rich did a CoC type game f...

Re: New Blog - Getting back into Miniatures and the FIW

Who are you looking at for miniatures? The actual armies will be AW miniatures - I'm starting with a couple of the SP2 force packs they offer. In the meantime I've grabbed some Conquest/Warlord packs to provide a few figures to get me into the groove of painting 28mm again - mainly the settlers, ci...

Re: New Blog - Getting back into Miniatures and the FIW

Updated with a bit of an essay outlining the decision process on choosing both a period and the rules.
Hope someone finds it interesting.

New Blog - Getting back into Miniatures and the FIW

I've just started a new blog where I detail my return to miniatures gaming with Sharp Practice and the French & Indian war in 28mm. I've not painted anything larger than 15mm infantry and vehicles for many years and due to a change in personal circumstances, I'm effectively starting from scratch aga...

KV-2 Model Availability

I'm just getting started with CoC and my core project is 1941 Soviets. As I've only done WW2 in 6mm and 15mm, I have no real idea of what is available currently. The KV-2 version I'm trying to get hold of is this one. http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b23/Synicbast/Tanks/KV2m39.jpg I understand Hobb...
